Senior Software Engineer

Building things as a Senior Software Engineer — proxy networks, Linux infrastructure & whatever's on the desk this week.

## About me

I'm a backend engineer. I work on proxy and network infrastructure: Go and Python services, Linux networking, USB modems that need convincing, and the production systems that keep all of it running.

### Currently

I'm building a browser and IP fingerprinting tool.

### At Proxidize

I was a Senior Software Engineer at Proxidize from 2020 to October 2026. I built the first two generations of Proxy Builder as its sole engineer, then led the three-person team that shipped the third. All three were built by hand, before AI coding agents could write production code.

In 2026 I worked on a self-hosted proxy router, a web scraping tool with its own stealth browser built on a patched Chromium fork, and an abuse-detection service that used ClickHouse telemetry.

On those newer projects, I designed the systems and wrote the specs. Coding agents wrote most of the code, and I reviewed everything they produced.

### How I got here

I studied computer science at Applied Science University in Jordan and worked briefly as a full-stack developer at 01 Inventions. A few months after graduating, I joined Proxidize to build the proxy platform from scratch.

For the first few years, I handled Proxy Builder's development, testing, DevOps, and technical support. Working directly with customers taught me how the platform behaved in production.

### Outside work

Three cats and a piano, which one of the cats has claimed. I go through a lot of tokens, and the number on this page is not a typo. I don't start anything before coffee.
